Riyadh Mosque

This remarkable project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, combines a modern mosque with a multifunctional event hall on a spacious 9,000-square-metre site.

The mosque’s architectural language is characterized by simplicity and modernity while incorporating subtle oriental elements.

The double skin facade, adorned with traditional Eastern motifs, serves as both a visual and functional feature. It enhances the mosque’s aesthetic appeal while also acting as a sunscreen, filtering light into the interior to create a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere.

The layout includes a thoughtfully designed entrance square, an outdoor prayer area, landscaped gardens, and numerous water features.

These elements, combined with the use of light-coloured stone for the exterior, contribute to a peaceful and reflective environment. The harmonious integration of traditional and modern elements ensures that the space serves both its religious and communal functions. The water features further enhance the tranquility of the site, reinforcing the spiritual essence of the design.

This project is a testament to the power of architecture to create a meaningful and inspiring space that serves both spiritual and community needs.
